Brand wants to return to radio

Russell Brand has told a reporter in Australia that he'd like to get back on the air with a radio show, but that his busy film career's taking priority at the moment.

Brand resigned from Radio 2 in 2008 following 'Sachsgate' – the press outcry that followed the broadcast of obscene answerphone messages left by Brand and Jonathan Ross for the former Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs.

Brand, in Sydney to promote his new movie called Arthur, is [link=http://www.monstersandcritics.com/people/news/article_1632919.php/Russell-Brand-says-he-would-like-to-return-to-radio]reported to have said[/link]: "Sometimes I think it would be really good to do some radio. Not at the moment. I'm just concentrating on doing these films. It's such an incredible medium. So direct. But as I have learnt to my cost there's a potential for scandal."

He also said when he does return to the airwaves, it would 'definitely' be with Matt Morgan, the comedian he was working with at the time of the Sachsgate affair.

Morgan joined Brand last year too for a series broadcast on talkSPORT which included recordings from Russell's stand-up comedy shows and specially-recorded backstage interviews.
