BAUER: Highest ever for Kiss

Kiss has recorded its highest ever reach in its first RAJAR since taking to the national stage early in the New Year, jumping from 3.4 million to over 4 million listeners across the UK.

Meanwhile, Magic 105.4 has lost its top spot in London to make way for Capital FM to re-claim its crown.

The new figures for Kiss combine three large FM stations plus various DAB multiplexes across the UK, giving the station a 25 per cent increase in hours too. The station is at the centre of Bauer’s new Passion Portfolio, along with The Hits, Kerrang! and heat radio, which have all seen an increase this quarter.

In Bauer’s new Place Portfolio, stations such as Wave 105 and Radio Aire are celebrating an increase, but Key 103 is down to its lowest reach ever with 440,000 listeners.

But overall Bauer increased its reach across the UK from 12.3m to 13.4m listeners year-on-year.

Steve Parkinson, managing director of Bauer Radio London, said: “We couldn’t be happier with the results for KISS since taking the brand to a national level earlier this year. We have seen increases in all four corners of the KISS world over the past year – nationally, in London and in the East and West of England.
