GMG Radio has this week begun launching a series of direct retail services for listeners via the website of its Smooth Radio brand.
We’re told Smooth Radio Dating will be followed by a Wine Club, Music Store, Travel section and general Smooth Radio Offers section.
Content partners will be used for each service, the first being WhiteLabelDating.com for Smooth Radio Dating.
GMG Radio Group Commercial Director Jonathan Gillespie said: “This provides great commercial opportunities for brands to engage with our listeners in areas which we know they are interested in – whether it’s discounted holidays or the chance to meet like-minded people – in an environment that they trust. It will provide both new revenue streams and targeted retail offers which will enhance the brand experience for our Smooth audience. We intend to roll out similar services regionally for our Real stations in the near future.”
As part of the initiative, GMG Radio Solutions Agency Digital Sales Manager Phil Barton Ancliffe moves into the new role of Enterprise Manager. GMG say he’ll lead the development of commercial partnerships for the new direct retail services, as well as continue to provide integrated solutions to grow digital revenues.
