Ben Hart leaves RCS after eight years

RCS UK Managing Director Ben Hart is leaving the company after eight years in charge of the computer software giant.

He will be replaced by RCS UK General Manager Jon Earley, who has been with the company since 2005.

Previously, Jon has enjoyed stints as a Producer at Ocean Sound, Head of Music and Programmes at Aylesbury’s Mix 96, and Programme Director of SouthCity FM in Southampton. He also spent time with Ben Hart when they both worked for ENCO Systems.

Details of Ben’s next move have yet to be announced, but we’ll bring you details as soon as we can. He has been a big supporter of RadioToday.co.uk, being instrumental in the decision to become site sponsor in 2009 – making it possible for your free industry news site to continue to offer breaking radio news and features to the industry on a daily basis.

Roy Martin, site owner says: “Without Ben’s genuine belief in the power of using Radio Today to promote the services of RCS in such a high profile way, we would not have been able to produce extra content such as eRADIO and the iPhone app. We wish Ben all the best on his next move and hope to work with him again in the near future”.

RCS Vice President International Operations, Mike Powell, said: “It is a great tribute to Ben Hart and the strength of his team that we have been able to make this appointment internally. Jon has been with RCS since 2005 as Ben’s second-in-command and has been an integral part of the company’s success. I am confident that he is going to take RCS UK to even greater heights.”

RCS software is used by more than 9,000 radio stations, TV music channels, cable companies, satellite music networks and Internet stations worldwide, with clients in over 100 countries.
