Classic FM set up Macca interview special

Classic FM has announced details of an exclusive interview with Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney.

The show, due to air next month on the Global Radio national station, will also feature the first full-length broadcast of his latest classical music work, the ballet score Ocean’s Kingdom.

Anne-Marie Minhall will host the three-hour Paul McCartney takeover show on Sunday 2nd October, which we’re told will include other music from the singer-songwriter’s classical back-catalogue – such as Standing Stone and Working Classical. Sir Paul’s last classical album, Ecce Cor Meum, won the Best Album Award at the Classical BRIT Awards.

Anne-Marie Minhall said: “Sir Paul McCartney is such a hugely gifted musician, songwriter and composer and it was a privilege to hear about his latest journey into classical music.”
