James Watt returns to Minster breakfast

York-based Minister FM has announced a schedule shuffle which sees weekend presenter James Watt move to weekday breakfast.

Watt previously hosted the show around ten years ago and takes over from Chris Marsden who moves to evenings.

After leaving Minster the first time, James worked for a number of stations including BBC local radio stations in York, Bristol, Derby and Newcastle. Previously he’s been heard on numerous stations across Yorkshire and other parts of the UK as well as on BFBS.

Programme Controller – and afternoon show presenter – at the UKRD-owned station, David Green, told us: “We look forward to James bringing his energy and drive to the breakfast show on Minster FM. I’m delighted to welcome him back to daytimes to bolster our already strong line up… well except for that bit in the afternoons.”

A short statement from James reads: “Toast always tastes better with a Watty.”

Watt takes over the show from early next month.
