UKRD picks up another employee award

Pirate FM owner UKRD Group has been named as West Country Employer of the Year at a ceremony in Cornwall.

The award, presented by a local newspaper owned by the Daily Mail Group, was one of 14 categories covering the west country region.

Earlier this year, the group was named as the best small company to work for by the Sunday Times.

The Group’s CEO, William Rogers, said that he was delighted that the company had again been recognised in respect of its values based culture and for being a great place for people to work.

He told RadioToday.co.uk: “The level of engagement we get from our teams is fantastic and the opportunities that are created for our business as a result are simply tremendous. This award is simply a reflection upon those who work in our company and the commitment they have to it to deliver great local radio to the communities they serve.”

The award was collected by Sian Woods, the groups Assistant Company Secretary and Dawn Wilson, the receptionist at Pirate FM.
