Kendal-based Lakeland Radio has announced 10cc as the headline act for its Lakeland Live open air family concert next month.
The gig is part of the ‘Country Fest’ weekend which takes place at the Westmorland County Showground on 26 and 27 May.
Lakeland Radio has been supporting the festival as official media partner since it started in 2009. Station Director, Belinda Allen, said: “It was such a great moment to hear we had 10cc booked – we’d all put a lot of work into bringing to South Cumbria a world class act, and with over 30million album sales they don’t come much bigger! It’s great that we’re able to give local people the chance to see a band such as 10cc and I’m sure it’ll be a night to remember”
10cc will do a 90-minute set, with support acts including rhythm and blues singer Aynsley Lister and local band Fabulous Picasso Brothers.
