Voice talent comp launched at #sracon

A twelve month voice representation deal is the top prize in a new voice talent competition launched at the Student Radio Conference in Bradford.

The Hobsons voicesearch 2012 has been organised with radio promotion, marketing and imaging website Earshot Creative and aims to discover new, unheard voice talent.

The competition winner will receive a year of professional representation from Hobsons including a professionally produced showreel.

All finalists will be tested in a series of studio challenges set by producers from across the industry. In one challenge, they’ll voice station sweeper IDs with production company Reelworld. A student radio station will receive the produced imaging to use on air.

Judges include the RAB’s head of creative development, Donna Lampton, Chief Executive of Hobsons and Steve Martin who writes the Earshot Creative website and podcast.

Steve Martin told RadioToday.co.uk: “We’re launching Hobsons voicesearch 2012 at the Student Radio Association conference in Bradford where talent and enthusiasm are in fresh abundance but the winner could come from anywhere, and be of any age.”

Entry is free. Further details, rules and the entry form are at earshotcreative.com
