Former Virgin Radio and Scot FM Sponsorship and Promotions manager Brian Commins has been appointed to take charge of CN Group’s Belfast station Citybeat.
Brian has more recently been working as a consultant and also had a spell as Commercial Director with the group behind Dubai’s Channel 4 Radio.
Robin Burgess, Chief Executive of CN Group said “I am delighted to announce Brian’s appointment as Managing Director of Belfast Citybeat Limited. Brian is a very experienced radio operator having worked for both Virgin Radio and Wireless Group in the past. More recently he has been working in the Middle East for Emirates Neon Group and Channel 4 Network.”
Brian added: “I am absolutely delighted to be heading to Belfast, Citybeat is a terrific station with a fantastic team and I can’t wait to be working with them creating great radio and exciting creative solutions for our clients.”
CN Group owns three stations – Citybeat in Belfast, The Bay in Lancaster and Lakeland Radio in Kendal.
