Absolute Radio has appointed Rachel McClenahan as Head of Independent and Regional Business.
The internal promotion for Rachel strengthens the Absolute Radio senior management team and follows the station’s decision to bring all its regional sales activity in-house.
An Agency Account Manager (Independents) at Absolute Radio for the past five years, Rachel brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role in an area that the business is rapidly expanding.
Rachel will continue to report to Head of Agency Sales Ben Barker but will become part of the Sales Heads management team working closely alongside Advertising Director Remy Kirk, Head of Digital Sales James Wigley, each reporting into Absolute Radio’s Commercial Director Simon Kilby.
Commenting on the appointment, Absolute Radio Commercial Director Simon Kilby said, “Rachel’s excellent relationships, understanding of the business and accomplished management skills have seen her deliver outstanding results for the business to date. I can’t wait to see what she can deliver in her new role.”
Rachel took up her new role on the 1st of September.
