Lincs FM says Vote for Ella, Ella, Ella..

Lincs FM’s presenters have become singing stars, of sorts, in a bid to generate votes for X Factor contestant Ella Henderson.

The station’s getting behind the Lincolnshire teenager in her quest to win the TV contest this year and, as well as covering her home town with Vote Ella Posters, they’ve also produced their own version of Rihanna’s hit Umbrella…chanting the new anthem “Vote for Ella, Ella Ella.”

Director of Programming Sean Dunderdale told RadioToday.co.uk: “As soon as we saw Ella’s first audition on this years show we knew she’d do well and immediately launched our support for her. The song was the idea of our afternoon presenter Rob Hammond who stars on lead vocals and wrote the new lyrics. The newsteam provide backing voals on the track. The response from listeners has been amazing and even Ella, her family and friends have retweeted the song”

Ella Henderson told her 175,000 followers that the song was “legendary” while her mum Michelle tweeted: “The Vote Ella song and lyrics are fantastic! I love it!”

The station’s Vote Ella campaign has also been backed by former X Factor singer Matt Cardle and boyband Lawson (pictured with Lincs FM’s Vote Ella poster) while listeners have also been downloading the poster from the stations website.

Clich here to hear the song for yourself.
