Boy bands One Direction & JLS, plus last year’s X Factor winners Little Mix are to host special shows for Capital FM’s latest Help a Capital Child appeal.
A weekend of special programmes will air from October 26th to 28th and include showbiz guests, auction prizes and online prize draws. The money raised will go towards funding specialist units and care for young people living with cancer across the UK via Teenage Cancer Trust .
Auction lots include a backstage meet & greet with Ed Sheeran in Dublin, plus the chance to walk the red carpet and be at the Breaking Dawn – Part Two premiere. Listeners could see Example at the Stereosonic Festival in Sydney.
Dalton Leong, Managing Director of Help a Capital Child said: “This month marks a year since we launched our first ever Capital FM network charity appeal, which was a huge success and raised over £180,000. Through the great work of our charity, we’re delighted to continue to support the work of Teenager Cancer Trust, making such a difference to so many young people living with cancer across the UK.
