Community radio evenings planned by BBC

BBC Audio and Music is inviting members of the Community Media Association to its radio stations for two radio events.

The Community Radio Open Evenings are to be held at New Broadcasting House in London on 6th December, and MediaCityUK in Salford on 16th January.

BBC Radio 1Xtra’s newest signing, Yasmin Evans, will be at both sessions to talk about her journey from community radio at ALL FM in Manchester to BBC national radio.

In addition, Nihal from the BBC Asian Network and Mary Anne Hobbs will be in London and Salford respectively, speaking about their careers in the industry.

There will also be a session on the importance of community radio in the developing world and the work of BBC Media Action.

The events are free-of-charge to Community Media Association members. Click here for more details.

If you have a vacancy in radio, post it on RadioTodayJobs.com for free, or go premium for extra coverage.
