Mark Goodier joins Radio 2 for Christmas

Mark Goodier is returning to BBC Radio 2 just days after his last scheduled show on Smooth Radio, to cover the midday till 2pm slot over Christmas.

Mark announced he’s leaving Smooth Radio after five years to concentrate on his own business, Wise Buddah. He’ll be on BBC Radio 2 on Monday 24th December, then Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th.

Other points of interest on the BBC Radio 2 Christmas schedule include Sara Cox covering Ken Bruce’s mid-morning show, just weeks before she’ll be covering the same show on BBC Radio 1 when Fearne Cotton take maternity leave.

Huey Morgan will be hosting a special show on Christmas Eve – “Huey Morgan’s Night Before Christmas” featuring “a magical journey across the Atlantic to experience the sounds of a city that has come to epitomize the festive season.”

Ed Stewart will host a special live two-hour edition of Junior Christmas Choice on Christmas morning, whilst Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders reunite once more for a series of three special Christmas and New Year shows between 2 and 4pm, 25th, 26th and 27th December.
