Boybands One Direction, JLS and The Wanted are ‘taking over’ The Hits programme schedule between 8am and 4pm from Monday 31st December to Friday 4th.
It’ll be Marvin, Oritsé, JB and Aston from JLS for breakfast from 8. JB said: ‘We’ve got our alarm clocks set already to get the New Year underway on The Hits Radio – we can’t wait!’. Then Jay, Siva, Nathan, Tom and Max will be on-air playing their favourite songs and talking about their hopes for 2013 between 11am and 1pm. Max said: ‘We can’t wait to get on-air and speak directly to our fans, who have made sure 2012 has been amazing!’.
Then from 2pm, Harry, Liam, Zayn, Niall and Louis from One Direction will take listeners through the afternoon. Harry commented: ‘We started 2012 taking over The Hits Radio, and it’s great to be doing the same again to start 2013’.
Each member of the three bands will host their own individual shows across the schedule.
The special week follows Christmas specials with Ed Sheeran, a one hour interview with Emeli Sande and even an exclusive Christmas Day message from One Direction at 3pm.
