Ideas Bank offers ideas for programmers

Radio programmers are set to benefit from contest and feature ideas which are being added to the Radio Ideas Bank website.

Originally, the site featured creative contest ideas for sales executives to generate revenue by selling them to clients but now programming-specific ideas are available for browsing and download..

Bosses tell us the aim is for programmers and presenters to use Radio Ideas Bank to source fun, new contests or get inspiration for hours-building promotions.

Managing director Debbie Tighe says: “Our recent user survey highlighted the need for us to include more purely programming ideas. Now when people visit the site, they can choose whether they search our database as a programmer or sales executive.

“Radio Ideas Bank already has users in more than 30 countries including the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, France, Finland, UAE, India and Brazil. Tried-and-tested classics are curated on the site as well as new and original ideas.

“For our clients in developing countries who’ve shown a great deal of interest in the site, we hope the new ideas will not only provide creative inspiration but also make it easier for them to discover and execute classic British, American and Australian ideas,” says Debbie.

The website can be searched for ideas by business category, daypart, occasion or keyword. Customers can pay on a per-idea basis or through a discounted personal or corporate membership.
