Pulse boss promoted to group sales role

Michael Dobson has been promoted to ILR Group Sales Director at UTV Media, replacing Julian Carter who is moving to UKRD station Sun FM as MD.

Michael was previously Station Director at UTV’s The Pulse in Bradford and will now work across the group’s 13 local stations.

Michael has over 18 years experience in radio and sales management, having worked across a number of national radio groups, including Metro Radio Group and Emap. He joined UTV in early 2011.

Michael said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this challenge and helping the local teams build on their current success. It’s a very exciting time for commercial radio and the great performance last year across the UTV group gives us a solid foundation to build on.”
