Ray Rose takes on Magic AM evening show

Presenter Ray Rose has been appointed as network evening show presenter on the Magic AM stations across the North of England.

He’ll be on-air from Newcastle between 6pm and 10pm Monday to Friday replacing Steve Coleman, along with a specialist 60s music show on a Sunday afternoon.

Ray comes from Cheshire and has worked in radio for 27 years including time presenting on Marcher Sound/MFM/Classic Gold, Sunset 102, JFM/Jazz FM, BBC Manchester & Smooth Radio.

Ray said: “I am delighted to be the new evening show host on the Magic Network as there are very exciting times ahead for the service. I believe Magic delivers the best adult music promise and lifestyle empathy for the over 45s on UK commercial radio.”

Magic Network programme controller Chris Pegg said: “Ray is an experienced and talented broadcaster. His warm presenting style is unique, and we’ve had some very positive feedback from listeners from the short amount of cover work he has done for us. I believe his knowledge of artists and their music from the 60s and 70s is unrivalled by any presenter.

“All the network presenting team are looking forward to Ray joining us and adding to the strength of the line-up.”
