Sweeney made Station Manager at Bro Radio

Gareth Sweeney has been appointed Station Manager at the Vale Of Glamorgan Community Radio Station – Bro Radio 98.1FM.

He’s been Acting Station Manager since October 2012 .

Gareth presented the very first show on Bro Radio when the station launched in March 2009 and has had various roles including presenter, Station Producer and now overseeing the day to day running of the radio station as Station Manager.

Gareth said “I feel very honoured to be offered the role of Station Manager at Bro Radio. The whole team are fantastic at what they do and work hard, everyday, to bring local, entertaining radio to the Vale Of Glamorgan. I look forward to working with the team to build on our sucess.”

The board of directors added: “Steve Wiggins stepped down last year as Station Manager of Bro Radio and since that time Gareth Sweeney has stepped in to oversee the day to day running of the station.
