Real Radio is taking advantage of recent activity in Teesside to relocate its breakfast & drive time show there for a week.
The station, which covers the entire North East region, will broadcast Breakfast with Gary & Lisa, and Hometime with Justin & Kelly from a brand new pop-up studio at the main entrance to the Cleveland Centre.
The week of programming will include a special weekend breakfast show on Saturday 4th May hosted by Gary & Lisa.
It comes just weeks after rival Bauer Media station TFM dropped all locally-made programmes and relocated to Metro Radio in Newcastle.
Gary can’t wait to take the show on the road, he commented, “I’m really looking forward to taking the breakfast show on tour, particularly to my beloved Teesside. Throughout my career I’ve always worked at Teesside stations or stations broadcasting to Teesside, so it’s home to me.
“I’m more than happy to shake the hand of any Teessider and I’m hoping the winner of the £1,000 might buy me a pint and a Parmo. Up the Boro!”
The rest of Real Radio’s output is networked with other Real stations in Yorkshire, North West England, Wales and Scotland from studios in Manchester.
