Scottie McClue returns to talk about radio

Talk radio legend Scottie McClue is making an industry return by appearing at the RadioToday social weekend JockFest at Alton Towers.

scottieScottie has been entertaining radio listeners for 21 years in virtually all the mainstream radio markets in the UK having first broadcast his ‘Mega- phone in’ on Red Rose Gold 999AM in 1992, and will be talking about his long and varied career during an after dinner speech.

Scottie McClue is actually a character performed by former ITV newscaster and radio manager Colin Lamont and invented by Colin and his former ITV and Red Rose colleague and now TeamRock chairman John Myers.

Since Red Rose, he has hosted phone-ins at a number of stations including Scot FM, Hallam FM, Magic, the Century Radio network, Signal2, Forth2, Clyde 2 and BBC Radio Scotland.

Further evening entertainment is also provided along with an afternoon of seminars created for radio presenters and producers, including ‘How to make extra money with audio‘, PD Tips with a panel of top programme directors, the 24 hour breakfast show with Capital FM jock Simon Hirst, and an one-on-one interview with Xfm’s Jon Holmes.
