London producers help make LA station #1

Covent Garden based On The Sly Productions has helped 104.3 MYFM become the number one station in Los Angeles.

It’s a bold claim but the production company has seen the station rise from 11th in the rating tables to the top spot since taking over the imaging contract.

It’s the first time the station, previously known as K-BIG 104, has become the most popular station in LA, ahead of 102.7 KIIS FM.

On The Sly director Ali Rezakhani said: “This is fantastic news for everyone at MYFM in LA. We’ve worked closely with Andrew Jeffries and his team, planning and implementing a fresh approach to station sound and ensuring it sounds nothing like anything else in the market place.

We’re particularly pleased with how our unique custom song intros have been received…and to succeed in such a tough market place is amazing”

Official Arbitron PPM listening figures for April 2013 put the station at a 5.5 reach compared to KIIS’s 5.4. The station had previously tied with KIIS back in January, but this is the first time in its history that it has reached the number one spot.
