Arqivas give four decades of entertainment

To celebrate 40 years of commercial radio, four bands, one representing each decade, will entertain award-seekers at this year’s Arqivas.

The awards, organised by RadioCentre, will feature live performances from Atomic Kitten, The Feeling, Level 42 and Bucks Fizz.

Opening the show will be the original Bucks Fizz whose worldwide sales exceed 15 million records. Mike, Cheryl and Jay will be performing some of their biggest hits, including Making Your Mind Up.

80s and 90s sensations, Level 42 who’ve sold over 31 million units worldwide, will be performing a medley of their hits – including Lessons in Love, Something About You, Heaven in My Hands and Running in the Family.

Platinum selling artists The Feeling will also perform a live set including hits Never Be Lonely and Love it When You Call. In 2006 they were the most played band on UK radio receiving over 97,000 plays – an average of 267 times every day, or once every five minutes.

Closing the awards will be Atomic Kitten. The original line-up is now back in place and they recently took part in The Big Reunion tour. They’ve sold over 10 million records worldwide and are back in the studio working on a new album.

Other confirmed guests for the event in London on July 3rd include Absolute Radio’s Ronnie Wood, The Overtones and Britain
