talkSPORT confirms new Keys and Gray gig

Richard Keys and Andy Gray have presented their last daily show for talkSPORT as they move to a new weekly slot.

The former Sky Sports duo will host a new Friday night show with previews of all of the weekend’s games live from the start of the 2013/2014 season.

They’ll also continue to host live football commentaries for the station.

Richard Keys said: “The anticipation of a full weekend of football is one of the most exciting things in sports broadcasting.

“This new Friday show on talkSPORT allows Andy and me to bring the best previews of the biggest league in the world to listeners. In the past two years we’ve had some great opportunities with talkSPORT and I’m delighted to continue working with the station.”

Rumours started over the weekend that Keys and Gray had left the station, moving to a new TV deal in Qatar.

Since joining the station in 2011 to present the mid-morning show Keys and Gray have twice been nominated for Sony Radio Academy Best Sports Programme, winning the Gold award in 2012.
