Actor Adam Garcia visits Northwick Park

Australian actor and dancer Adam Garcia took a tour of the Radio Northwick Park studios ahead of a charity football match for the station.

On Thursday, Adam joined the RNP football team, made up of volunteers at the charity, in an hour long training session, going through warm ups and a game with the team. He then went on to visit the studios to find out more about the history of the organisation, now in its 42nd year.

On his visit Adam said he was “super excited” about playing in the charity football match against Arsenal Ex-Pro’s and celebrities.

The match was held at Harrow Borough Football Club on Sunday 18th August. All the money raised, over £6,500 goes towards Radio Northwick Park and the Arsenal Foundation.

Chairman Matt Blank said: “This day really couldn’t have gone better and despite Arsenal being the winners, as a charity we are celebrating the success we had and feel like champions.”

Adam is well known for featuring in the hit movie Coyote Ugly and more recently in the West End dance show Revolution with Kimberley Wyatt and as a judge on the reality show Got To Dance. He said: “When I came down to Radio Northwick Park’s studios, I was amazed at not only the number of volunteers but their dedication and enthusiasm was inspiring. It made it a great honour to come and play with the team.”
