Radio 1 Breakfast says sorry for a tweet

A tweet from BBC Radio 1’s breakfast Twitter account has caused a bit of a reaction on social media, resulting in the station removing it and saying sorry.

The tweet, which said “We all think that the girl from @londongrammar is fit. Let us know if you agree on 81199 #ladz.

Shortly afterwards the tweet was removed and a follow-up message said: “Our tweet earlier about Hannah from @londongrammar was meant to be ironic, but we got it wrong. We’re sorry.”
