Former radio presenter jailed for life

Former radio presenter Geoff Hemming has been sentenced to life imprisonment after murdering his fiancee.

Geoff was a presenter at a number of stations in England, including Classic Gold, The Pulse, GEM-AM and more. He was working at Bauer Media’s Magic AM until May last year.

The Nottingham Post reports: “Geoff Hemming (52) stabbed to death Denise Williamson (44) in a frenzied, drunken attack last summer at the Hazelwood Drive house they rented. Nottingham Crown Court heard that the couple had been engaged to be married for 30 months.

“But Hemming had become obsessed that Denise was having an affair with another man. He was also depressed and suicidal after losing the DJ job he loved and racking up debts of between £40,000 and £45,000.”
