The Reading Post is suggesting JACK fm will take over Reading 107 after the sudden departure of breakfast show host Robert Kenny.
The article, also online at getreading.co.uk says his departure is one of a number of staff to have left recently.
Managing Director Sue Reynolds said: “There are always going to be rumours and people saying this, that and the other. There is still going to be a radio station here but I’m not going to comment any further than that at this moment in time.”
Reading 107 is independently owned by Sir John Madejski and is based in the Madejski Stadium, home of Reading FC. Sue Reynolds previously worked as a sales consultant at JACK fm in nearby Oxford.
