Radio producer Steve Higgins joins webvid

Former Global Radio digital content producer Steve Higgins is joining online video production company webvid as a new lead developer.

Steve was previously Launch Editor for and a producer for Global Radio in Bristol.

The company was started by former Heart London drivetime presenter Neil Bentley. He’s now CEO of parent company Lucky Thirteen and told RadioToday: “After a brilliant 2013, which included creating a fantastic body of work for clients including Haymarket Publishing & First Mile Recycling, it’s with huge excitement and great pride that I can announce our first hire of the year.”

“Steve Higgins joins from Global Radio to lead the development of various innovative projects including CrowdScreen, the recently launched social display for events.”

Steve commented “I’m really looking forward to joining the team in March. webvid is a creative environment and I look forward to getting stuck in. I’m especially focussed on the development and progression of CrowdScreen, which has forthcoming installations in New York and at venues across the UK. It’s such a brilliant service and I believe it can be a fantastic tool for Radio events teams too.”

Neil added “We have ambitious goals, including the recently completed expansion into our new creative space in Vauxhall, London. With Steve on board I know we are in the best place to achieve some amazing milestones in 2014. I look forward to adding even more functionality along the way and making CrowdScreen the must have social media service for events.”
