Programme changes at Real XS Manchester

Communicorp’s* Manchester station Real XS has promoted breakfast show producer Matt White to Programme Manager.

Matt said: “I’m really excited about the changes to our show line-up on Real XS and I can’t wait to get stuck into my new role on the station. We have some great talent on-air and I look forward to working with the team to continue to develop the sound of Real XS.”

He replaces Mark Matthews, who has left to join Signal 1 in Stoke-on-Trent as Station Director whilst Rachel Austin takes maternity.

Mark was also host of the afternoon drive show, and will be replaced on-air by Paul Carlin, meaning late show host Sophie takes on Paul’s former evening show.

Mark will continue to host a Sunday afternoon show between 12pm and 4pm.

The station is also launching a new, hour-long show, called ‘My XS’, where a listener will be able to choose an hour of their favourite songs, every weekday at 2pm.

*The deal for Communicorp to own the station should be cleared next week, and the final transfer deal from Global Radio complete by the end of March.

Communicorp’s Manchester station Real XS has put producer Paul Carlin on Drivetime, replacing Mark Matthews.
