1Xtra is to host a live music night in Glasgow the weekend before Radio 1’s Big Weekend, as part of the BBC’s year-long contribution to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Radio 1Xtra Live in Glasgow will showcase ‘the best urban music’ will take place on Saturday 17th May at the Riverside Museum.
The news was announced during MistaJam’s Saturday night Radio 1 and 1Xtra simulcast show at the weekend where the DJ led line-up for the night was also revealed. MistaJam is on the bill to DJ alongside fellow Radio 1 & 1Xtra Saturday night DJs, Charlie Sloth and DJ Target. Also, joining them on the main stage from the 1Xtra family will be DJ Semtex and CJ Beatz.
They’ll be joined by DJ Fresh, Duke Dumont and Breach, who between them, have been responsible for nine top 10 hits, including four number 1 singles. There will also be performances from special guests on the night.
