Bauer Media Group’s Magic 105.4 and Absolute Radio brands are to partner the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Awards in 2014 to support the Best Live Act Award.
The Award is a public vote to find the Best Live Act of the last 12 months and includes 10 artists chosen by a panel of 37 music industry experts. The panel were given a list of the 100 most searched for music acts on ticketmaster.co.uk and made their choices from that list.
Listeners of Absolute Radio and Magic 105.4 and O2 and Ticketmaster customers are set to have the final say for their Best Live Act from the shortlisted artists.
The partnership will see the radio stations promote the top 10 Best Live Act Artists with on-air live reads pushing to online for listeners to cast their votes on the Nordoff Robbins website.
Commenting on the partnership, MD for Bauer Radio (London) Steve Parkinson said, “Nordoff Robbins do amazing work, and we are very happy to support this – as well as something else our listeners are very passionate about – live music. May the best live act win!”
Previous winners have included Sir Paul McCartney in 2011, McFly in 2012 and One Direction in 2013 – with over 23, 378 members of the public engaging with the iniatieive and casting their vote.
