Vodafone continues Summertime Ball deal

For the third time in a row, Vodafone is headline sponsor of Capital’s Summertime Ball in London.

The concert, which takes place at Wembley in June, is promoted on all Capital stations with tickets sold across the UK.

The partnership with Vodafone involves teaser tag lines, live reads on air and ticket giveaways, as well as digital and social media support across the Capital network. Vodafone will also have a prominent presence at the event with branding and what the station calls “experiential activity”.

Mike Gordon, managing director of commercial at Global, said: “It’s great news that Vodafone is returning for the third year running as our partner for Capital’s Summertime Ball. This year’s live music event will be bigger than ever, and we’re looking forward to delivering some great results with Vodafone once again.”

Daryl Fielding, director of brand marketing at Vodafone, said: “We’re delighted to be back again for the third year of support for Capital’s Summertime Ball, as it brings together internationally acclaimed artists in one of the capital’s iconic venues. Our customers are the kind of people who want to live life to the full and music is a passion of theirs, so we’re enabling this by giving them priority access to tickets at one of the boldest music events of the summer.”

Capital’s Summertime Ball supports Capital’s flagship charity, with a donation from proceeds going to Help A Capital Child. No date or artists have been announced yet but teasers are now running on-air.
