National station LBC is to host a live event with the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and 1,500 invited guests at IndigO2.
This is Mayor Johnson’s seventh State of London Debate and also the latest in a series of major debates LBC is staging, following the Clegg/Farage debate earlier this year. It will allow him to discuss the future direction of the capital directly with Londoners.
The 90 minute event, hosted by Nick Ferrari, will be on-air as it happens, at 7:30pm on Wednesday 25th June, and available to watch online.
Boris Johnson comments: “Once a year I’m given an amazing opportunity to debate face-to-face with Londoners. There’s no panel, no commentators, no other politicians, it’s just me as Mayor, and you as Londoners. The State of London debate provides a unique opportunity to ask me questions in person about what really matters to you, hold me to account and share your big ideas for taking our great city forward, not just with me but with thousands of Londoners. Please consider coming to the IndigO2 for the LBC State of London Debate.”
James Rea, managing editor at LBC told RadioToday: “The LBC State of London Debate offers the audience a rare opportunity to talk directly to the Mayor in person, and shows that LBC continues to lead the news agenda with appointment-to-listen shows, incisive commentary and events that fuel national debate.”
