Planet Rock names ‘Ultimate Hell raiser’

Planet Rock has named Ozzy Osbourne as its number one Ultimate Rock N Roll Hell Raiser following a week long listener vote.

The Bauer station got hundred of entries, Tweets and Facebook messages with Keith Moon (The Who), Lemmy (Motorhead) Jim Morrison (The Doors) and Alice Cooper, who hosts weekday evenings on the station, making up the top five Hell Raisers.

Presenter Darren Redick counted down the top twenty list as voted by Planet Rock listeners, on his special bank holiday Monday afternoon show from 4-6pm.

Music and Content Director for Planet Rock and Kerrang! Radio Ric Blaxill said: “Our listeners have been really responsive to the vote and though it was tightly contested, it’s nice to see Ozzy topping the pile, especially as he makes yet another return to the stage with the incredible Black Sabbath in London this July.”
