The owners of a UK production company are organising Europe’s first business podcasting conference.
Mike and Izabela Russell, who run Music Radio Creative, say the full-day event in Birmingham ambitiously aims to provide business owners and individual entrepreneurs the opportunity to gain or enhance their podcasting skills and build a stronger podcast contact network throughout Europe.
They say: “Podcasting is becoming an increasingly important way to give both businesses and individuals a powerful voice in their marketplaces and communities. This conference, held in the Birmingham city centre based 4-star Hotel La Tour, will use worldwide talents of acknowledged podcasting leaders to show participants how to find and deliver their unique voice. It will be of value to those considering entering this exciting environment as well as those who already have working experience within it.”
Mike has worked in radio for over a decade and has run a podcast for over two years and attended US based conferences devoted to podcasting. “With #UKPod14 we are on a mission to create the next generation of thought leaders for the new media age,” he says.
There will be two keynotes and a number of sessions devoted to podcast online marketing, strategic content management, podcast equipment and post production. Jason Van Orden of Internet Business Mastery – a US based podcasting entrepreneur – will deliver one of the keynotes.
Other speakers include:
- Joseph Bushnell, noted podcast trainer and regular host of The Online Marketing Show podcasts, will share seven online strategies to help gain subscribers and downloads.
- Colin Gray, who runs The Podcast Host, and works with many universities to develop students’ podcasting skills, provides a vital Non-Techie Guide to Audio Equipment.
- Jon Buscall, head of his own Stockholm-based marketing agency, works with many clients in both Europe and the Americas. Here, he will emphasise the value of podcasting as Strategic Content Marketing.
The event will close with a VIP party starting at 7.30pm. Click here for more details and to book.
