Radio Aire hires Scott Makin for Home Run

Former Hallam FM morning presenter Scott Makin has joined Radio Aire in Leeds to host the Home Run show.

He starts his new show today, following Kam Kelly’s move from drive to breakfast and Rich Williams’ departure from breakfast to drive on Heart Yorkshire.

Scott said: “I can’t wait to start at Radio Aire, it’s a huge honour to be part of Leeds No 1 heritage radio station and I’m looking forward to experiencing the sights, sounds and getting to meet the people of Leeds and of course, being part of a great station that continues to serves Leeds so brilliantly.”

Radio Aire’s Content Controller Alex Vladev added: “I’m really excited to have Scott on board. His bright voice and personality is exactly what Radio Aire’s Home Run needs. He knows Leeds very well, he is a massive Leeds United fan and I’m sure he’ll engage brilliantly with our audience. People will just love him.”

Scott has been replaced at Hallam FM by Simon Morykin.
