Kid Jensen will host a daily show on Radio Silverstone this year during the British Grand Prix weekend.
The former Radio 1, Capital and Smooth presenter will be on-air from 7pm till 10pm each evening looking back at the racing, interviewing drivers, and hosting on-air competitions for the thousands camped at Silverstone, whilst playing his own music choices.
“It’s great to have someone like David on-air, bags of experience behind the mic, and a real motorsport fan. It is so important for us to have Presenters who know their stuff, but are also top broadcasters” said Alan Hyde, the Station Manager.
David adds: “I love my motorsport, so to be able to get so close to the cars at the biggest motorsport event in Britain and be able to present on Radio Silverstone is a perfect mix. I can’t wait!”
USP’s Rob Jones will take over the Breakfast Show on Saturday and Sunday, from Gary Champion who moves across from the radio studio to front the Silverstone TV output this year.
Radio Silverstone has recently moved to a new studio and will join forces with the TV side to form Silverstone LIVE. “I’m delighted and I’m excited – I always listen to Radio Silverstone on my way in to the circuit, it’s such a great compliment to the event. You can almost smell the bacon butties coming out of the radio!” said Rob Jones
