Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Harriet Harman is joining LBC for a regular phone-in with Iain Dale.
Harriet has signed up for three shows, in July, September and October this year during Iain’s show between 7pm and 8pm.
The deputy Leader announced the news on LBC this evening and said: “I’m delighted to be taking part in a regular phone-in with Iain Dale on LBC – the station which refreshes parts of the country other stations cannot reach. LBC opens up the airwaves to people all over the country and lets them question and challenge politicians of all parties.”
James Rea, Managing Editor at LBC told RadioToday: “Harriet is the latest signing in our line up of political leaders, joining Nick Clegg and Boris Johnson, taking calls from LBC listeners. LBC puts listeners at the heart of its shows giving them a platform to drive debate, express opinions and share stories. We will continue to invite senior politicians and people in authority onto our shows for our listeners to hold to account.”
Later this month, on Wednesday June 25 at 7:30pm, LBC will host a live event with the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. The State of London Debate is the Mayor’s annual opportunity to discuss the future direction of the capital directly with Londoners.
