Blondie and Chrissie Hynde will sing at this year’s BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park, Chris Evans has announced.
Chris told listeners to his breakfast show on Monday morning, and is announcing a new act each day this week at 8:15am. Gregory Porter and Billy Ocean have also been confirmed.
The national station will return to the London park on Sunday 14 September for its 7th year.
Jeff Smith, Head of Music, Radio 2 and 6 Music, said: “Another year and another stellar line-up come together for a day of fantastic music which showcases the range and diversity of music provided by Radio 2 – the nation’s favourite radio station. And what better way to say goodbye to the summer than a music fuelled day out with friends and family?”
Last year saw 40,000 people descend on Hyde Park to see Smokey Robinson, Jack Johnson, Manic Street Preachers, Jessie J and James Blunt.
