DAB-only station MKFM set a team of seven off to Paris on their bikes last week to raise money and support Children with cancer.
The team, football manager Karl Robinson of League one side, the MK Dons and evening presenter Matt Rayzie hoped to raise at least £25,000 for the Henry Allen Trust
Station founder Chris Gregg was broadcasting live along the route drumming up support and donations from the Milton Keynes community.
Darren Dorrington, Managing Director told RadioToday: “This is what local radio is all about, we are pleased not just to be covering this event, but activity taking part as well. Matt Rayzie from our evening show is cycling 312 miles to support children in our community, it’s just fantastic.”
Britain’s got talent semi-finalist Bailey McConnell has added his support to the cause making several appearances on MKFM throughout the week.
