Stuart Robinson made PC at Downtown & Cool

Stuart Robinson has been appointed Programme Controller for Bauer Media’s Downtown Radio and Cool FM.

Stuart has been in radio almost 20 years, starting his broadcasting career as a presenter with Belfast station, Citybeat, where in time he also hosted the Breakfast Show, before moving in to a management role within the Programming Department.

At Downtown and Cool, Stuart has been the Deputy Programme Controller for the past four years.

Stuart told RadioToday: “I’m delighted, this is the gig I’ve been chasing for 20 years working in radio in Northern Ireland. We have two great radio stations here in Belfast, with well over half a million listeners, so I can’t wait to play my own part in helping keeping Downtown and Cool as the top two commercial stations in the country..

“I also owe thanks to our fantastic team of presenters, journalists, producers and the wider programming team who have supported me in my ‘acting’ role from the start of the year.”
