Free Radio holds free gig with The Vamps

Free Radio surprised listeners with an impromptu gig by The Vamps on Wednesday, attended by over 500 people.

The live music event, which was completely free, was held at The Rainbow in Digbeth and arranged in 24 hours. The band were in Birmingham to do a book signing which was cancelled. “Not wanting to let their fans down, they called in Free Radio to help them organise a last minute gig,” the station said.

“The Vamps performed at Free Radio Live last year, so the station rallied the team together and got planning. Within hours, there were hundreds of fans queuing outside The Rainbow, screaming for the band members.”
