Sir Michael Wilshaw is getting his own regular phone-in slot on LBC with breakfast presenter Nick Ferrari.
The Head of Ofsted and the Chief Inspector of Schools in England will be on-air once a term, starting tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9am.
Sir Michael Wilshaw said: “I’m delighted to have this opportunity to talk directly to parents, teachers and students about the things that matter to them the most. LBC is the perfect place to do this, and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
James Rea, Managing Editor of LBC, added: “LBC is the only radio station to put its listeners in the driving seat, giving them direct access to the people in authority. Sir Michael is the latest senior figure to agree to a phone-in and we look forward to welcoming him into the headmaster’s study with Nick Ferrari.”
In addition, the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Chief Executive, Ross McEwan, will take part in his first ever radio phone-in this week. On Friday 18 July at 9am, he will face Nick Ferrari and the LBC listeners, who will be able to call, email, text or tweet their questions directly to the Chief Executive.
LBC recently won Commercial Radio Station of the Year for the second time in a row at the Arqivas.
