Bauer Radio’s Romeo joins Heart Scotland

Heart Scotland has hired former Clyde presenter Romeo aka David Farrell to host a weekly show.

He’ll be on the air in the local slot each Saturday afternoon from 1pm in addition to co-presenting STV Glasgow’s magazine programme, The Riverside Show, which he’s done since leaving Bauer.

David Farrell: “It’s an exciting time with the recent launch of Heart Scotland, and I am looking forward to being part of the station’s future. I’ll be playing some great, feel good tracks on my show to take listeners into the weekend. I can’t wait to get started!”

He was last on the radio as “Romeo” on Clyde, where he hosted the networked In Demand show since 2008 till it networked with Bauer England earlier this year.

David Treasurer, Heart Scotland’s managing editor told RadioToday: “David is one of Scotland’s best-loved presenters with a fantastic personality to match. We are thrilled to welcome him to his new radio home at Heart, and I know our listeners will love tuning into him every Saturday afternoon.”

Heart Scotland was previously known as Real Radio Scotland, and prior to that, Scot FM.
