Neil Sexton and Debbie Ryan join Gaydio

Former GaydarRadio breakfast presenters Neil and Debbie have joined Gaydio for a weekend show this summer.

The duo, also known as NDebz(!), recently anchored Gaydio’s coverage of Pride in London ahead of their new weekly show on Saturdays 11am-1pm.

Neil says: “We were really excited to begin our new Saturday show on Gaydio. We’ve presented our show together for six years on stations across the radio universe and have been lucky enough to have interviewed global superstars such as George Michael, Elton John, P!nk, Stephen Fry and Cheryl Cole.

“The wish list for our new Saturday show is fizzing over with fascinating people, be they famous, infamous, or both!”

Debbie adds: “It’s great to be back in the bosom of the LGBTQ community, where we have been ridiculously fortunate to have picked up incredibly loyal listeners along our radio journey to far. To quote Grace Jones; ‘We’re looking forward to blowing you all away’.”

Station Director Toby Whitehouse told RadioToday: “Neil and Debbie have a fiercely loyal following that have been politely pestering me for a while now to get them on Gaydio. I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to make that happen by putting them at the heart of the new Gaydio Weekend”.

Gaydio recently renewed its DAB licence in London for a further 12 year term and has also launched a DAB pilot across Central Scotland. With its FM platform in Manchester and DAB licence for the Sussex Coast, Gaydio claims a listenership of around 850,000 listeners each month.
