Richard Keys and Andy Gray are getting a new show on talkSPORT, as part of a new weekend schedule from September 6th.
The pair will host one programme a month, called Keys & Gray: Inside Sport which will ‘speak to famous names in sport combined with opinionated analysis and agenda-setting content’.
They are already part of the team at the UTV station, having previously presented Friday’s edition of Kick-Off before the summer. Prior to that they hosted the daily morning show before leaving to join Al Jazeera.
Richard Keys said: “I’m delighted that Andy and I will continue working with the world’s biggest sports radio station this season. We’ll ensure that we keep listeners across all the important news and interviews from the world of football and beyond.”
In other changes, Friday evenings sees a new show hosted by former Republic of Ireland footballer Matt Holland – Kick-Off: Players’ Lounge. The all-football Friday night will hear from the managers and players set to hit the back pages alongside features and analysis.
Matt Holland said: “Friday nights are a special time for both players and fans as the excitement begins to build for the weekend games ahead. I can’t wait to get some fantastic exclusives from those preparing to be on the pitch to bring to talkSPORT listeners.”
The new changes are in addition to those that the station announced last week. Mike Tindall, former England rugby captain and 2003 Rugby World Cup winner, joins as a co-host on Colin Murray’s show each Monday. Nottingham Forest boss and former England captain Stuart Pearce will commentate on the station’s live football and feature across the station. And former England midfielder Ray Wilkins joins the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on Fridays. Plus Danny Kelly hosts a new show, The Season Ticket each Saturday 9pm-12am.
talkSPORT Programme Director Liam Fisher said: “Last week we announced some fantastic new names to our line-up and it’s a privilege to be confirming even more exciting changes to the talkSPORT schedule to make sure we’re the best in the business.”
