Bauer’s Absolute Radio has begun a major new billboard marketing campaign to promote the Christian O’Connell and Frank Skinner shows.
The creative is around ‘breakfast stand-ups’ Christian and Frank who present the morning shows on Monday to Friday and Saturday respectively. Absolute says the digital and scrolling roadside sites will “drive awareness for the station’s flagship programming and core comedy offering, a brand pillar which sits comfortably alongside music and football entertainment on the network.”
Frank is well-known for his stand-up comedy work, while Christian is building up a career as a comedian, and spent this summer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with an 18-night run of his latest show, ‘Breaking Dad’.
Absolute Radio’s Marketing Director Clare Baker told RadioToday: “This creative aims to highlight and celebrate our unique breakfast proposition with Christian O’Connell on weekdays and Frank Skinner on Saturday breakfast. Who doesn’t need a laugh in the morning?”
The ‘Stand-Ups At Breakfast’ creative is on large digital roadside sites across London from today. The plan was booked by Starcom with creative by Albion and Photography by Bauer Media. The outdoor plan will also be supported by a digital display and social media campaign.
