Magic 105.4 is to broadcast live from City Hall in London for a special charity show with Neil Fox and Mayor Boris Johnson.
The station is marking the culmination of the ‘2014 London’s Biggest Breakfast’ charity campaign, with an outside broadcast including live music and special guests.
The show, on Thursday 18th September, will highlight the work of the Mayors Fund for London and spread the word about the importance of starting the day with a healthy breakfast. The Pierces will also perform live and will include Olympic Diver Peter Waterfield, TV Doctor Anita Sturnham, TV Nutritionist Lucy Jones and Kellogg’s UK Sales Director Colin Bebbington as guests.
Neil Fox says: “London’s Biggest Breakfast Campaign is a fantastic initiative. The show broadcasting live from City Hall will get London buzzing and will raise essential awareness that will ultimately enable more London children to start their day with a healthy breakfast.”
This year’s on-air content is sponsored by Kellogg’s for the first time. Since the launch of the 2014 campaign earlier this year, another 14 School Breakfast Clubs have been set up across the capital, now totalling 74.
Matthew Patten, Chief Executive of the Mayors Fund for London says: “We’re really pleased to partner with Magic 105.4 again and we’re delighted to have the on-air support from Kellogg’s this year. Our hope is that even more Londoners, wherever they are – at home or in the office – will support our campaign by hosting their own fundraising breakfast. £10 buys breakfast for a child for a whole school term. It’s vital to give young Londoners a healthy start in life.”
